Mona and wine experience Tour

Enjoy a personalised full day tour from Hobart, accompanied by an experienced guide. You will sample some of Tasmania's finest cheeses, and cool climate wines in the renowned growing region of the Coal River Valley. Enjoy a cheese platter at Puddleduck (subject to availability), and after your delicious tastings, a scenic drive to the  Museum of Old and New Art, Mona.  To enhance your Mona experience, you will now travel back to Hobart via the Mona Roma  ferry.

Pooley Wines

On the outskirts of Richmond, on the Butchers Hill, sits the magnificent heritage listed Georgian building, Belmont Lodge. Here, the cellar door wine tastings are offered in the rustic charms of the sandstone stables.

Coal Valley Vineyard

Magnificent sweeping views across Pittwater Bay, that compliment their elegant wines.

MONA

Visit Mona after 2 Coal valley vineyard tastings, (cheese & crackers @ Puddleducks) located at Berriedale, on the banks of the Derwent River.  Take in the convict history of Risdon Cove, via the Grass Tree Hill Road, as we make the 40 minute drive to the Museum of Old and New Art. You will travel back to Hobart  via the 5:00pm high speed Mona Roma ferry.

Located on the banks of the Derwent River,and situated on Moorilla Winery, sits the largest privately funded museum in the Southern Hemisphere.

Housing ancient, modern & contemporary art from the collection of owner, David Walsh. Noted for its central themes of sex & death, the museum has been described by its owner as a 'Subversive adult Disneyland'

What you need to know

Departure: Tour departs outside the Tasmanian Visitor and Information Centre, Hobart, (corner of Davey & Elizabeth Sts) at 9.30am  Sunday & Monday, where you will be greeted by your guide.
Duration: full day
Cost: $140 per person including GST
Drop off at Hobart CBD Brook Street pier, via Mona Roma ferry approximately 5.30pm (please note there is an option to change departure time, subject to availability)
